One of the first things you should do when you start to learn "Microsoft Word" is get decent System Security. You could buy a program from a retailer and re-spend that coin when the program expires annually or whatever or you can find find a free one online.
One of the best forms of Security I have found for a PC running Windows XP and later generations is, oddly enough, from Microsoft's Security Essentials. Check the link below to see if your system can run it, I do recommended it (it is FREE)
